Guests can have more than one sense appeased at The Kahala Hotel & Resort’s Plumeria Beach House as Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winner Sean Naauao and friends will perform contemporary Hawaiian melodies and fan favorites on April 27. Don’t miss out on this one-night-only event with one of Hawaii’s most beloved musicians while indulging in a tantalizing menu.
The dinner menu offers a variety of delectable starters such as the Fried Ahi Poke Musubi ($25), which is the featured item of the month and has a portion of its sales donated to a local organization that supports the Kahala Initiative for Sustainability, Culture and the Arts.
The Gratin of Big Island Abalone ($24), which is served with a house-made warm baguette, and Chefs Onion Soup ($15) are also popular appetizers.
For entrées, a Kahala favorite is the Broiled Misoyaki Butterfish ($39) that is accompanied with Hamakua mushrooms and rice, pickled ginger, beurre blanc and steamed baby bok choy. Other options include the Signature 14-ounce Prime Rib-Eye “Steak Frites” ($68) or the Hawaiian Sea Fettucine ($30).
Other than this event, the restaurant offers a daily breakfast buffet, lunch curry buffet on Wednesdays, and seafood dinner buffet on Fridays and Saturdays.
Naauao is a slack-key guitarist and vocalist, composer and producer, whose repertoire runs from the most contemporary of island music to the heartfelt traditional Hawaiian mele.
“I’m super excited to be performing at Plumeria Beach House and in front of a live audience again,” says Naauao, who always envisioned performing at the restaurant someday.
The cover charge is $55 per person with seating and dinner starting at 5:30 p.m., and entertainment at 6:30 p.m. The establishment is accepting reservations through its concierge at 808-739-8911 or through Open Table where a link is provided on kahalaresort.com.
