Waikiki Brewing Co., which is Waikiki’s only active brewery, serves a variety of fresh, local beer. In addition to its Waikiki location, it can also be found in Kakaako. The business’s beers are brewed on the island, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy nine core beers that are always on tap.
“They are all over the spectrum, so there is sure to be something for everyone,” says general manager Andy Flartey. “We also try to have a couple featured beers on tap at all times to mix it up a bit. (The company) allows us to keep things fresh and try our hand at any newer styles or put our own twist on a traditional style.”
The menu also boasts delicious dishes, such as the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger ($18), which is only available in Waikiki. The burger is cooked to one’s liking and topped with cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, a giant onion ring and housemade mango bourbon barbecue sauce. It is then served with tomato, lettuce and onion on a brioche bun with a choice of side.
Pizza lovers can indulge in the Smoked Ham and Li Hing Pineapple Pizza ($19), which is the restaurant’s take on a controversial favorite, with kiawe wood-smoked ham and li hing pineapple.
The Shaved Prime Rib French Dip ($20) features kiawe wood smoked prime rib topped with melted Muenster cheese on an Amoroso hoagie roll. Also included is au jus dip and a choice of side.
Guests can also enjoy happy hour twice a day at both the Waikiki and Kakaako locations, from 2 to 5 p.m., and then again from 8 p.m. to closing.
