The Au Crudo ($17) is a customer favorite.

Mahina & Sun’s, situated in Waikiki’s Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club, serves up elevated home cooking. Delight in breakfast, happy hour and also dinner service, which is now available seven days a week.

“My goal is to cook food that is easily understood and is yummy,” explains executive chef Erik Leong.

He notes that the Au Crudo ($17) is a popular dish among customers and features smoked soy sauce, yuzu, chile, limu and inamona.

“The Au Crudo is definitely a fan favorite with the citrus and salt,” Leong says.“There is so much richness and texture that people always rave about this dish.”

The Mahina Family Feast ($37 per person, plus the market price for fish) includes fish, rice, banana pudding and more.

Diners can indulge in other tasty menu items such as Smoked Ahi Toast ($14), which consists of pumpernickel, smoked ahi, egg and pickles, and the Mahina Family Feast ($37 per person, plus market price for fish). The family feast includes au crudo, banana pudding, cucumber salad, root poke, buttered ulu with chile aioli, housemade pickles, hapa rice, fried snapper (opakapaka), miso aioli, shishito romesco and ponzu.

Smoked Ahi Toast ($14) features bread, smoked ahi, egg and pickles.

Patrons can also enjoy live entertainment, which is available throughout the week, with performances from Kelly Boy DeLima, Dustin Park, Trishnalei and more.

Whether it’s date night at the bar or pau hana on the lanai, Mahina & Sun’s offers a unique space and style perfect for any event.

“Dress up or dress down.

We want our guests to come to our home, and be comfortable and celebrate any occasion,” Leong says.

Dinner service starts at 5:30 p.m. with last seating at 9 p.m.
