Offering breathtaking views, the golf course at Pearl Country Club in Aiea overlooks Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial can be seen from many locations. Both the restaurant and the course at the club are open to the public, emphasizes the marketing, purchasing and retail manager Dawn Crozier.
“The chef, Aurelio Garcia, has won numerous food competitions locally and on the mainland,” Crozier notes.
Among Pearl Country Club’s dishes is the Crispy Korean Chicken Plate ($14). This is accompanied by white or brown rice and a choice of steak fries, mac salad or tossed salad.
The eatery also has its cleverly named Hangry Burger ($18), with two 5-ounce handmade patties. It comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, buttered mushrooms and onions, avocado, bacon, a fried or scrambled egg, and smoked Gouda or Swiss cheese, all on a brioche bun. Customers also get their choice of steak fries, mac salad or tossed salad.
The Loaded Fries ($15) has a choice of steak fries or tater tots. It’s smothered in chili, cheese, onions, sour cream, bacon bits and jalapeños.
Another favorite is the Oxtail Soup ($18), with white or brown rice and ginger.
Party platters are available with 24-hour advance notice. Pearl Country Club also does an array of special events, and has banquet facilities available. “We are currently offering a Christmas in July special with 50% off room fees when booked in July or August for November and December parties,” Crozier says.
