Located within Honolulu Design Center is Amuse Wine Bar, an intimate and stylish locale where one can sip on the world’s finest offerings.
“Amuse Wine Bar is a great place for any wine lover,” says management team member Alice Ancarani. “We offer more than 80 wines available to taste and 100-plus by the bottle. We also have rotating flights that can be ordered from our menu, or you can ask our team for a personalized flight. We do have a full bar with craft cocktails as well, which makes it a great place for pau hanas, celebrations or evenings out with friends!”
On the menu, find the chef’s take on the classic Spanish Patatas Bravas ($11). With a little kick of spice, this dish — which comprises crispy fried potatoes, togarashi mayo, furikake, tobiko and katsuobushi — stands out because it incorporates local flavors.
The J.B.H. Grilled Cheese ($12 for three pieces), meanwhile, melds havarti, housemade kimchi and truffle essence on housemade French bread.
“Who doesn’t love a good grilled cheese? And add some kimchi and truffle to that — a must,” notes Ancarani.
Lastly, a popular plate among employees is the Ahi Dynamite ($15). Expect torched ahi sashimi with spicy mayo, radish salad, tobiko, soy reduction and bubu arare.
The eatery is currently offering dine-in and takeout and, from 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday, enjoy the musical mastery of local artist Chris Salvador.
