Host Anne Lee is joined by Hula Grill’s Executive Chef Paul Rivera and learns how to prepare their Strawberry Mochi Waffles at the beautiful Outrigger Waikiki.
Mochi waffle batter
Ingredients
- Waffle mix 15oz
- Flour, Mochiko 1lb
- Sugar, granulated 1.5cups
- Puree, strawberry 1lb
- Vanilla extract 1tsp
- Water 2cups
- Eggs, whole 3ea
- Butter, unsalted 4oz
- Baking powder 0.5tsp
Cooking Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl add all dry ingredients and mix well
- Melt butter
- Add the rest of the liquid ingredients to mixing bowl
- Whisk in butter
Strawberry mochi waffles
Ingredients
- Waffle batter mix 7oz
- Strawberry fresh, quartered 3ea
- Mascarpone whipped 2oz
- Honey, Manoa 1tsp
Cooking Instructions
- Using a waffle Iron, place waffle batter and cook for 3-4 minutes. For crispier waffle let cook for another minute.”
- Remove waffle from Iron and place on place
- Top with fresh strawberries, mascarpone whipped cream and drizzle with honey
