Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant ushers in a new era of dining this month with some family-style specials that feature some of the best Hong Kong-style cuisine in the islands.

To ensure a safe reopening, the restaurant has been redoing the table arrangements with partitions and distancing (at least 6 feet apart), and fully cleaning and disinfecting every corner of the space.

“Our staff will fully comply with the Department of Health guidelines, wearing masks and gloves, frequent sanitization and more,” adds general manager Gary Chan.

And fans of Jade Dynasty’s famous dim sum can look forward to indulging in some small plates for a little while longer every day. (Find new dim sum hours in the contact box on the next page.)

Also, come next month, look forward to a special Father’s Day dinner set for parties of five to 10 people.

“We always exchange information and get some new ideas,” explains Chan of the restaurant’s extensive offerings. “The owners always travel and contribute a lot to the menu creations.”

Keeping in line with the state Department of Health’s recommendation to gather in small parties within the same household, Jade Dynasty is offering up a couple of family-dining meals that feed a group of four.

The five-course Lobster Combo ($139) includes roasted duck, char siu and garlic cucumber; a 1.5-pound live lobster; string beans with minced pork in the restaurant’s special sauce; honey and garlic ribs; and a mini garlic seafood fried rice.

Jade Dynasty’s Special Set ($68), meanwhile, allows guests to choose their favorites from an extensive list of specials. Opt for either deep-fried ham har chicken wings or shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer. Follow that up by choosing three entrees from the following: honey and walnut shrimp; salt and pepper shrimp; honey and garlic ribs; beef and broccoli; spicy mapo tofu; or string beans with minced pork. Finally, the eatery’s famous Young Chow Fried Rice rounds it out as the main starch.

“We also always have monthly specials, and we keep track of those items on a special menu,” says Chan.
