Local eaters love good fried rice, and Kuhio Grille’s Famous Fried Rice ($8.99, full order; $6.99 half order) definitely fits the bill. It’s made with three kinds of meat, eggs, green onions and a special in-house sauce. Top it off with a fried egg for an additional $1.99.
If you’re in the mood for something a little sweet for breakfast, try the Sweetbread French Toast ($8.99), made with local Hawaiian sweet bread.
Other breakfast offerings at Kuhio Grille include everything from pancakes and waffles to a variety of omelets.
Shortly after introducing breakfasts items, Kuhio Grille also began offering large takeout pans in response to requests from customers.
“Since then we’ve helped feed a few parties and get-togethers,” Araki says.
Pans come in two sizes. Most of the entrees come in a half-pan, which serves 13-15. Among the half-pan options are Boneless Korean Chicken ($57), Chicken Katsu ($57), Teriyaki Pork $70) and Kalua Cabbage Stir-fry ($50).
Got rice to go along with all this food? Kuhio Grille offers full pans of White Rice ($36) and Fried Rice ($55) that come with 20-22 servings.
