Golden Palace Seafood Restaurant continues to serve up “heart and soul” in every dish throughout its robust menu.
Located in downtown Honolulu at 111 N. King St. within bustling Chinatown, Golden Palace Seafood Restaurant prepares popular Hong Kong-style cuisine blended with Southern Chinese influences in its inviting atmosphere as has been tradition since the eatery opened in 2001.
Diners can look forward to extraordinary value whether one prefers a quick meal on the go or a relaxing sit-down experience with friends and family.
“We stick to the basics with our dishes, and continue to serve customer favorites as we look forward to the New Year,” says Gary Lam, general manager. “You can’t go wrong as our cuisine will always fill you up.”
With 2020 right around the corner, be sure to celebrate the New Year with Stuffed Duck ($36, provide at least two days advance notice when ordering).
The traditional Chinese dish serves 10-12 people and is ideal for parties. A symbol of fertility and family completeness, the specialty is meticulously prepared and deboned before being stuffed with ham, shiitake mushrooms, barley, gingko nuts and chestnuts, and covered in a house gravy with egg flowers and green onions as garnish.
Steamed Sea Bass Fillet with Ginger and Onion ($12.95) symbolizes abundance for the new year.
The flavorful sea bass absorbs the bold tones of the shredded ginger and onions, and Golden Palace’s house-made soy sauce.
Salt and Pepper Shrimp ($9.95) is another local favorite as the shrimp are lightly battered and deep-fried before being tossed with minced garlic, green onions, jalapenos and a signature salt-and-pepper-spice seasoning.
Dim sum selections are available daily starting at 7 a.m. through mid-afternoon at just $2.89 for three pieces of several varieties.
Golden Palace also offers a banquet room on the second floor capable of hosting nearly 450 people.
Lam explains that multiple groups have utilized the convenient space for a variety of functions. They include holiday parties, weddings, birthday celebrations and business gatherings.
Guests are encouraged to book the room soon as reservations fill up quickly.
