Genki Sushi is one of the most popular kaiten-zushi — rotation sushi — spots in Hawaii, with locals flocking to the one of the restaurant’s several locations to pick and choose from an array of tantalizing dishes passing by on a conveyor belt. However, Genki Sushi also offers several to-go options.
If you crave a sampling of some of the different items Genki Sushi has to offer, try one of these sets. Genki Set 1 ($16.50) is a hearty selection with 10 assorted pieces including Spicy Tuna, Ika, Tako, Tobiko and Tamago. Genki Set 3 ($24.50) is a generous collection that includes Ebi, Unagi, Salmon, Spicy Tuna, Tamago and Inari.
For the too-much-of-a-good-thing-is-never-enough crowd, the Spicy Tuna Set ($17.50) includes 10 pieces of the popular sushi packed in a convenient bento box. Want something a bit milder? Go for Tuna Salad Set ($9), featuring 10 pieces of the creamy creation.
Of course, dining in at Genki Sushi remains a fun (and tasty!) option. Most Genki Sushi locations across the state, including the new Kapolei restaurant, now offer the double-rail, train sushi delivery configuration for convenient, ultra-fast ordering. As part of the train-ordering process, diners can place orders via an updated, lightweight touch-screen panel and receive their sushi at their table.
“Genki has always remained affordable and family-oriented,” says David Moon, director of purchasing and operations for Genki Sushi. “We’re committed to providing our customers with the latest technology and improving on everything we do within a family-friendly environment.”
Genki Sushi also offers a 10-percent discount for military members and seniors ages 55 and older. The discount is available Sunday through Thursday on dine-in orders only, and as a reminder, diners must show valid photo identification; this offer may not be combined with any other discounts or promotions.
