Since opening in 2014, My Cafe has become one of the most popular breakfast and lunch spots in Kapolei.
“It’s a family-oriented restaurant,” said owner Mark Nakagawa. “We offer classic dishes with a modern twist.”
A perfect example of this is the Loco Moco with Fried Rice ($16.45). A beef or turkey patty is topped with two eggs, mushrooms, onions and gravy. It is then served on a bed of My Cafe’s Kuilei Veggie Fried Rice. Named after Nakagawa’s daughter, the fried rice is made with mushrooms, bell peppers, corn, spinach, edamame, garlic, tofu, asparagus and onion.
While this combination of flavors makes for a great combination, diners can choose to order the Loco Moco without the fried rice for $12.95, or they can order Kuilei Veggie Fried Rice topped with two eggs separately for $11.95.
A PLETHORA OF PANCAKES
Can’t decide between My Cafe’s selection of delicious pancakes? Opt for the Flight of Pancakes ($12.95).
It comes with miniature versions of three different goodies from the griddle: Cookie Butta Luva Pancakes (buttermilk pancakes topped with house-made cookie butter cream sauce and cookie crumbles), Lilikoi Pancakes (buttermilk pancakes topped with two different lilikoi sauces) and Chocolate Taro-Haupia Pancakes (chocolate chip pancakes topped with a taro-coconut sauce and coconut flakes).
