Memorial Day means summer is right around the corner, and that means it’s time for parties and picnics. Big City Diner can help you kick up your festivities with its selection of platters featuring some of the restaurant’s most beloved dishes.
A popular choice for seasonal celebrations is Big City’s Famous Guava BBQ Baby Back Ribs ($25.49 “Big Slab,” $20.49 “Not So Big” Slab). Slow-roasted for five hours until the meat falls off the bone, the ribs are smothered in a homemade mango guava barbecue sauce offering a unique local touch to a classic American dish.
President and owner Lane Muraoka suggests that diners order the luscious ribs for their parties and other special events as a Full Rack, which is priced at $84.99. The full rack equates to four “Big Slab” orders and provides extraordinary savings and value. Want extra sauce? Big City Diner’s Famous Guava BBQ Sauce is available at all restaurant locations. Individual bottles are sold for $7 each.
A CLASSIC SALAD, UPGRADED
For those wanting something a bit lighter than a rack of ribs, Big City Diner offers a variety of salads. For example, the Big City Cobb Salad ($15.49) is a variation of the iconic dish made famous at the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant. The “not-so-traditional Cobb” is made with hickory-smoked turkey smoked turkey, ham, red onions, black olives, roasted corn, avocado and Jack and cheddar cheese served on a bed of romaine lettuce.
