Situated in the lively, artistic Kakaako neighborhood, Rinka has become the perfect place for authentic Japanese food and beverages.
The refined restaurant with courteous service is located within Aeo at Ward Village.
Lunch is first come, first served, but reservations are suggested for dinner after 5 p.m. Among the restaurant’s creations is the elegant Sashimi Deluxe Combination ($65.75).
In addition to a sushi counter, there is also a bar counter, a spacious dining room and a private room. Rinka features a pristine, cozy environment suitable for any gathering.
Takaaki Nakajima, general manager, explains that one of the dishes available is the Fried Tofu With Four Kinds of Miso ($11.75). This features homemade spinach, traditional, hot sauce and yuzu miso varieties, which are carefully placed atop squares of fried tofu.
The Beef Tongue Curry Soup ($12.75) has rich beef tongue bathed in a flavorful curry and served in a bread bowl.
Another meaty offering at Rinka is the Wagyu Sirloin Teppan ($29.75), with tender beef grilled at customers’ tables.
For the seafood lovers, the restaurant serves up items such as Cheese Fishcake With Seaweed Tempura ($8.75). The creamy fishcake is skillfully combined with a variety of flavorful ingredients and enveloped in a crisp seaweed tempura batter.
