Starting this Wednesday, May 1, Honolulu’s night owls are invited to flock over and enjoy a trio of delectable pupus debuting at M.A.C. 24/7 Restaurant + Bar.
“All these are brand-new items to our menu,” says executive chef Rey Baysa. “They make perfect late-night bites to go with your nightcap!”
The new items are available at M.A.C. 24/7 from 10 p.m. till 4 a.m. only, along with the restaurant’s full menu.
Inspired by the Filipino dish, Cracklin’ Chicharrones ($9) consist of crispy pork rinds with yummy chili-garlic sauce for dipping. Simple and healthy, Edamame ($7) are steamed and tossed with Hawaiian salt, familiarly delicious for Asian and local guests.
The 3 Pulled Pork Sliders ($9) are a trio of locally baked brioche rolls loaded with Kalua-style pulled pork tossed with house-made orange-mango barbecue sauce. “It’s a meat lover’s sandwich snack!” exclaims Baysa.
For $12, the Chili & Cheese Nachos begin with freshly-fried corn tortilla chips layered with house-made chili, seven-cheese sauce, sliced jalapenos, and shredded cheese. They’re baked, finished with lomi tomatoes and olives, and served with sour cream.
Between midnight and 3 a.m. each night, Sunday through Thursday, M.A.C. 24/7 offers great specials on drinks: domestic drafts for $4.50 and $7; craft drafts for $5 and $7.50; house wines at $7.50, sparkling wines at $7.50, and more. Hawaiian favorites like the Blue Hawaii, Mai Tai, Guava-licious and Luscious Lychee are available for just $7.50.
Early birds can enjoy the new pupus at LBLE Lounge, the hotel’s lobby bar, open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. starting May 1.
