As local diners seek out the perfect pizza, what better way to enjoy a heavenly slice of New York-style pie than by hailing a ride to flavorful fare at Yellow Cab Pizza Co.
Yellow Cab Pizza Co. has roots in the Philippines and features more than 100 locations worldwide. The Dillingham location in bustling Iwilei, which offers a spacious and inviting dining area, became the first branch to open in the United States and has welcomed local diners since January of 2017.
“Our concept is to offer New York-style pizza in a fun and hip atmosphere, so all our food choices are great to enjoy with family and friends,” says Yellow Cab Pizza Co. General Manager Maly San Luis. “With today’s trend of customizing pizzas, our operation is set up to accommodate orders with guests’ favorite toppings.”
The restaurant’s pizzas are available in three sizes – 10, 14 and 18 inches – and feature a distinct New York-style “thin-to-medium” crust thickness with dough made fresh in house throughout the day and hearty toppings piled all the way to the edge of each made-to-order pie. In addition to the popular pizzas, diners may also order freshly made salads, soups, pastas and chicken wings. Desserts and beverage choices, including fresh-brewed coffee and cappuccino, are also on the menu.
The Garden Special ($8.95 for 10-inch, $12.95 for 14-inch and $16.95 for 18-inch) is a delicious all-veggie classic pizza crafted with fresh tomatoes, olives, button mushrooms, onions and bell peppers. The fresh vegetables provide a distinct “crunch” with every bite that bursts with bold flavor profiles.
Customers also rave about New York’s Finest ($11.95 for 10-inch, $15.95 for 14-inch and $19.95 for 18-inch) as the top-selling pizza features Italian sausage, ham, bacon, pepperoni and ground beef as well as black olives, fresh button mushrooms, onions and bell peppers.
Feel free to “wing it” with some of Yellow Cab Pizza Co.’s succulent Wings ($6.95) as guests may choose to coat the chicken pieces in one’s choice of Mango Habanero, Garlic Parmesan, Hot, Barbeque, Korean BBQ or Honey Garlic sauces. The mango habanero sauce was recently added to the menu, and guests remark that the wings go great with a cool beverage.
Quinoa and Feta Cheese Salad ($8.95) includes quinoa, feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula and heart of romaine lettuce all tossed in a tangy balsamic vinaigrette.
Aglio Olio Shrimp Pasta ($10.95) offers a refreshing and flavorful combination of shrimp, basil and sun-dried tomatoes sauteed in garlic and olive oil and tossed with spaghetti or penne pasta. Diners can also add anchovies for $1 more.
And, for dessert, be sure to save room for one of Yellow Cab Pizza Co.’s decadent Dessert Crisps ($3.95 for a 6-inch crisp) featuring a choice of Banana Nutella, Apple Caramel or S’Mores. The crisps resemble mini pizzas, and like their bigger pizza brothers, are topped with the sweet and savory toppings that pack a flavorful punch all the way to the crust’s edge.
