It’s not just the Year of the Pig — It’s the Year of The Surfing Pig!
The Surfing Pig has a trio of exciting things happening that will entice one’s taste buds in 2019.
For starters, the establishment is now offering catering services. Customers can opt for a cater-in experience at the restaurant, which can accommodate up to 50 people. Guests can reserve the entire restaurant or choose one of two levels — the first floor bar area or the upper level.
Members of the Glander family — owners of the restaurant — explain that they will also soon roll out an off-premise catering menu.
The Surfing Pig on Waialae Avenue is justifiably famous for an elevated menu of its sister-restaurant Kono’s, offering a selection of meats, small plates, awesome savory entrees and delightful desserts. In fact, the owners of The Surfing Pig urge customers to make their Valentine’s Day reservations now because space is filling up quickly.
Executive chef Shayla Kaai explains the second exhilarating new offering at The Surfing Pig is Chef’s Table. This is where a table of six people is treated to a sumptuous prix fixe seven-course meal, while being personally navigated through the food by the chef.
Kaai shares the Chef’s Table menu will be constantly evolving with fun approaches to the dishes. Chef’s Table is a personalized special event, which is available anytime to customers with advance notice and can be organized by calling the restaurant.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY FEAST
The Surfing Pig is also now offering Sunday Family Dinner ($150 feeds four people), which is a huge smokehouse meal featuring delicious ribs, smoked brisket, roast pork, veggies, the eatery’s famed bread pudding, salad, grilled corn and more. The massive feast is served on Sunday evenings from 4 to 10 p.m. The restaurant invites families to attend this dinner so they can relax, eat great food and enjoy some quality time together.
