Asian Mix continues to serve up a multitude of tastes and flavors from around the Pacific Rim coupled with speedy, stellar customer service. Diners count on the convenience of a fast-food restaurant without having to sacrifice quality, as meals are prepared to order with fresh ingredients by skilled chefs.
Conveniently situated at the corner of Beretania and Piikoi Streets on the ground level below Safeway, Asian Mix serves up quality menu items with plentiful portions at affordable prices.
Owner Daniel Leung notes, some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes are influenced by Northern Chinese cooking styles and techniques, while Pacific Rim flavors, that stand out as bold spices, are used to build great taste. House Pan-Fried Noodle ($10.95) features a bountiful blend of chicken, scallops, shrimp and vegetables atop a bed of Hong Kong-style “skinny” noodles that are cooked to order to present the right texture and flavor combination.
“The secret is you never pre-cook the vegetables or anything to use later because you miss out on the fresh flavors,” says Leung. “We believe that we’re the most reasonable place in town and offer excellent portions. You won’t be disappointed.”
Diners also can choose to order Honey Roasted Barbecue Pork ($13 per pound) and Crispy Skin Roasted Pork ($13.50 per pound), both of which are readily available for guests to enjoy. Leung explains the two roasted pork options feature an ideal blend of meat and fat so that each bite is packed with flavor, and are perfect for family dinners and large gatherings, including holiday get-togethers and tail-gate parties.
Additionally, customers may choose to build their own Asian Mix Plate (available daily, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.), which allows them to pick from a variety of entrees ($6.25 for one choice, $7.95 for two choices and $9.50 for three choices). Multiple entree selections are available each day for mix plate combos, including Asian Mix’s popular orange chicken and broccoli with beef, and customers are able to order and go in a matter of minutes.
