With its popular delivery system and an expansive menu that includes daily and seasonal specials, Genki Sushi continues to take Japanese classics to new heights.
Genki Sushi is an innovator in the culinary community after popularizing kaiten sushi, or conveyor belt sushi. While its original conveyor belt design captivated diners’ hearts, Genki Sushi decided to implement a “bullet train” system, making the dining experience even more enjoyable and efficient.
Most Genki locations across the state now offer the double-rail, “bullet train” sushi delivery configuration for convenient, ultra-fast ordering — a tried and true method for identifying and selecting one’s favorite choices.
As part of the train-ordering process, diners can place orders via an updated, lightweight touch-screen panel and receive their fresh sushi favorites at their table in lighting speed.
“Genki has always remained affordable and family-oriented,” says David Moon, director of purchasing and operations.”We’re committed to providing our customers with the latest technology and improving on everything we do within a family-friendly environment.”
With seven locations on Oahu, as well as multiple eateries on Kauai, Maui and Hawaii island, Genki Sushi serves up flavorful creations in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
Diners may choose from a host of delicious sushi selections, rice bowls topped with local favorites, bento sets, and tasty desserts and beverages. Genki Sushi offers a wide variety of nigiri, gunkan and rolled sushi dishes, from simple favorites to extravagant creations.
Some of the eatery’s popular offerings include Poke Roll ($5.75) with delicious ahi poke and the Ultimate Trio ($5.75), which features ahi, hamachi and salmon sushi in one convenient combo.
Spicy Bomb ($4.75) is composed of the iconic spicy ahi blend atop sweet cone sushi for an intriguing contrast of flavor, while Sukiyaki Bowl ($4.75) includes a hearty portion of thinly sliced beef cooked to perfection and presented upon a bed of rice.
“We evolve and do our best to keep customers happy,” says Moon. “We continue to look at updating the menu as culinary trends change. However, customers have their favorites, so we will make sure to keep those on the menu.”
Just in time for the busy graduation party season and summer get-togethers, Genki Sushi offers an array of sushi platters. The popular Party Platter A, which includes 50 pieces of assorted sushi is available for just $60 and is ideal for the entire ohana.
Genki Sushi also is offering a 10 percent discount for military members and seniors (ages 55 and older). The discount is available Sunday through Thursday on dine-in orders only, and as a reminder, diners must show valid photo identification — offer can not be combined with any other discounts.
