As a way to honor the priceless contributions moms make in the lives of children and their families, Zippy’s is serving up delicious Mother’s Day specials to coincide with the momentous occasion — after all, every day should be Mother’s Day!
Zippy’s will offer complete meal options, while supplies last, throughout Mother’s Day weekend (May 12 and 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.) that are sure to satisfy the appetites of local families.
Grilled Salmon with Crab & Artichoke Sauce and Broiled Garlic Shrimp Combo ($20.95 at the dine-in restaurant only, prices may vary by location) features savory grilled salmon topped with a creamy crab-and-artichoke sauce, along with broiled shrimp basted in garlic butter. The flavorful medley is served with choy sum, broccoli and a choice of white or brown rice, french fries or real mashed potatoes.
The Mother’s Day special Prime Rib ($25.95 at the dine-in restaurant only, prices may vary by location) is another local favorite served with au jus and horseradish, corn and a choice of white or brown rice, french fries or real mashed potatoes.
Each of the aforementioned Mother’s Day complete meal options includes a dinner roll, choice of soup or tossed salad, choice of large drink or coffee, as well as a dessert selection: Strawberry Shortcake Fantasy, Brownie Delite or Cake a la Mode.
“Moms deserve to be treated — that’s why we have a special menu to celebrate their day,” says Jeanine Mamiya-Kalahiki, marketing manager at Zippy’s Restaurants. “Actually, we should give thanks to our moms every day, but Mother’s Day gives us the opportunity to gather our families and recognize Mom for her unconditional love and always being there for us.”
During the month of May, pick up the popular Spaghetti & Chicken Mixed Plate for just $7.40 at the fast food counter and $8.50 at the dine-in restaurant (available through May 31). The local favorite includes spaghetti and meat sauce, golden fried chicken and a slice of garlic bread.
Zippy’s also is introducing a fresh, tasty menu addition available throughout May via its Taco Salad ($11.50 at the dine-in restaurant only, available through May 31, prices may vary by location). This refreshing-yet-filling option features seasoned ground beef atop a bed of tossed greens with diced tomatoes and onions, green onions, sour cream and chili peppers. The salad is served with freshly fried nacho chips and ranch dressing to complete the flavor profile.
“We offer a casual, friendly place to dine with family and friends. By serving many favorites with consistent quality and taste, there’s something for everyone,” says Mamiya-Kalahiki. “It’s also convenient and safe, and we keep our menu fresh with new items.”
