The afterglow that comes to those who have enjoyed a meal from GRYLT is definitely part of the experience. Consuming healthy food should leave one feeling satisfied yet still fit, and it is in that regard that GRYLT’s three Oahu locations (Ala Moana Center, Kahala Mall and Kailua Shopping Center) have thrived since opening.
Restaurant founders Allen and Mayu Farinas’s vision was to emphasize fresh and natural foods, especially here in the islands, where freshly caught ahi tuna and recently harvested rich greens are easily procured.
The task of preparing such fare is in the able hands of GRYLT’s corporate executive chef Jose Arias.
Raised in New York, where he got his start as a chef, he moved on to Alaska and finally to Hawaii, where he thought he could best promote wellness and sustainability by way of utilizing ingredients found in the area.
Furthermore, the eatery’s offerings are made more accessible through catering.
FOOD FOR THE MASSES
GRYLT is prepared to take the workload from the party-giver, and is able to cater for groups as small as 10 to the multitudes found at a wedding reception.
With no set packages or prices, orders are customized to the client’s needs.
Among the items favored by those catering through GRYLT are its handcrafted sandwich wraps, soups, salads, garden vegetable medleys, and steak and chicken.
