Have a merry morning this Christmas Eve and Day with the ones who matter most by indulging in a joyful breakfast spread at Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar.
“Sometimes the best way to spend the holidays is over a wonderful breakfast or brunch with family or friends,” says general manager Heela Mottus.
On the breakfast menu (served daily from 7 to 11:30 a.m., and until 2:30 p.m. on weekends), find light fare such as fresh fruit, avocado toast and an Acai Bowl ($11), which includes high-quality acai, fresh fruit, and local honey and granola. Or enjoy one of the restaurant’s more indulgent breakfast favorites, such as Loco Moco ($15), a popular local dish that’s given an Italian twist with a veal, pork and beef meatball and homemade mushroom marsala gravy. There’s also succulent Lobster Benedict ($20), as well as the classic Eggs Benedict ($15) that can be dressed up with prosciutto, mushroom, goat cheese or smoked salmon for an additional cost.
Continue the celebration throughout the day by dining on the eatery’s Christmas menu, available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Eve and Day.
The menu features specials — like Seafood Risotto ($50) prepared with an abundance of calamari, scallop, jumbo shrimp, clams, mussels and lobster consume, with carnaroli rice and green peas — as well as a set four-course menu for $105 per person ($115 per person if less than two people).
The set menu begins with Salumi, the chef’s selection of meat and cheese with marinated olives, and a choice of Panzanella salad or mushroom soup. The “star on top the tree” is Veal Osso Buco, a slowly braised 8-ounce veal shank done Milanese-style. And for dessert, there’s Pizzelles with Gelato.
Plus, you can spark up the new year with a four-course set menu ($115 per person; available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. New Year’s Eve) and a glass of sparkling wine to toast the start of 2018.
