In the hustle and bustle of preparing a full-course meal for Thanksgiving, people often forget the essence of the holiday. Thankfully, Wailana Coffee House has not.
The restaurant will offer a special Thanksgiving menu (available Nov. 23, 11 a.m.-midnight) that will allow guests to feast, share memories and count their blessings without distractions or unwanted stress.
The Thanksgiving menu will feature three complete dinner options, which include a slice of Pumpkin Pie, drink of choice (coffee, tea or soft drink), choice of starch, and the option of either a trip to the salad bar, soup of the day or fresh fruit cocktail.
Wailana’s Thanksgiving Turkey with Smoked Ham ($16.95) is a dinner option that offers all the classic flavors one looks for in a Thanksgiving meal. The perfectly cooked turkey and ham is dressed with old-fashioned giblet gravy and a grilled pineapple ring topped with cranberry sauce. On top of that, the dish comes with Wailana’s special Macadamia Nut Stuffing.
The second complete dinner option is The American New York Steak ($18.50), which features an 8-ounce U.S. Choice steak seasoned with lemon butter, garlic, salt and pepper, topped with beer battered onion rings and sauteed mushrooms.
Guests also can savor Seafood Continental ($16.75). This dish is a harmonious blend of sauteed shrimp, scallops and mahi-mahi covered in a decadent cream sauce.
As an added plus, guests can even indulge in an Eggs Benedict Royal ($14) breakfast special on Turkey Day, if they so desire.
In addition to the Thanksgiving specials, the eatery’s regular menu offers a wide selection of local favorites and house specialties, all at reasonable prices.
“We serve local-style comfort food with consistency, value and service that keeps our customers coming back, some on a daily basis,” states Wailana Coffee House general manager Kenton Tom.
