New Shilawon Korean Restaurant is no doubt a hot spot for customers craving all-you-can-eat yakiniku. So patrons will be happy to hear that the restaurant recently launched a weekend special to offer its most-popular selection of meats at a lower price.

According to general manager Jandy Lee, this weekend special is $25.95 for adults ($15.99 for children ages 4-10) and is available Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

“This all-you-can-eat course special includes six choices of meat,” she explains. “It features our best selection of meat; this is what customers usually order from our all-you-can-eat choices.

It includes beef tongue, beef brisket, pork belly, spicy pork, bulgogi and barbecue chicken.

“It also comes with lettuce salad and stew — you can pick between miso stew and soft tofu stew,” Lee adds. “And, of course, everybody gets rice and side dishes.”

Lee says New Shilawon decided to start this weekend special to give customers the option to get beef tongue in the all-you-can-eat menu at a lower cost.

“Most people get our Course A, but it’s priced at $34.95,” she explains. “Some people get Course A just for the beef tongue, but they can save a little more money with this option — there’s about a $9 price difference.

“We decided to add the beef tongue to this weekend special because everybody likes beef tongue,” Lee states. “It’s very popular.”

Lee confirms that the last seating for this weekend special will be at 2:30 p.m., while the kitchen’s last call will be at 3 p.m.

“We’re open all day with no breaks in between lunch and dinner,” she says. “We have parking available downstairs, and customers can also check out our new website at newshilawonhonolulu.com.
