Feel right at home with the abundance of broths, sides and sauces that Sweet Home Cafe has to offer. This Taiwanese-style, hot-pot dining destination is perfect for enjoying endless flavor combinations with friends and family.
Sweet Home Cafe opened in 2008 and is located in Moiliili on South King Street, across from Old Stadium Park. It is known for its tasty selection of broths and side dishes, such as spinach, shimeji mushrooms, mochi gyoza, raw clam and lobster tail — all of which are served on colored plates that make each selection’s price clear, ranging from $3 to $5.
Guests also are encouraged to add flavorful sauces to their hot-pot creations, and Sweet Home Cafe has 12 varieties for them to enjoy. Sauces include flavors like Sweet Home ginger onion, homemade ponzu and garlic soy.
FEELING HOT, HOT, HOT
Although it is now winter, patrons are invited to turn up the heat and indulge in Sweet Home Cafe’s Summer Garlic hot pot. For $9.95, dive into this seasonal special turned all-time favorite. “It’s very flavorful,” says chef Takuto Yasuda. “There’s garlic, sesame oil, ginger, shoyu and Sichuan pepper.” Add a few sides and mix in some garlic chips, and there is no turning back!
