What does one bring to a holiday party? Here in Hawaii, the answer is poke.
Ahi & Vegetable is the place to get it, as the eatery provides locals with quality, fresh seafood at an affordable price.
Owner Sam Seo unveiled his second location in Kapalama Shopping Center two years ago, and since then residents near and far have come to enjoy Seo’s seafood.
He explains that one thing that separates his restaurant from other seafood joints is its freshness factor. Fish is brought in straight from the auction houses on a daily basis.
There is a simple motto Ahi & Vegetable lives by, ensuring a quality meal for every customer: “If you think you can eat (it), can sell. You think you no can eat (it), no sell.”
That being said, customers can expect nothing but the best at Ahi & Vegetable.
So whether one brings Ahi & Vegetable to the party or decides to hold their shindig at the eatery (the restaurant can host up to 50 people), Ahi & Vegetable will make any holiday gathering or special occasion one to remember.
For large parties, Seo recommends rolling out a party platter or two (each platter serves five to seven people). Some crowd pleasers are C2 ($35), a sushi platter featuring five rolls — California, Spicy Ahi, Veggie, Unagi and Shrimp Tempura Roll — and C8 ($55), a platter starring California Rolls, Spicy Ahi and Shoyu Poke.
