Diners can have it all at Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27 Cafe. Whether you’re craving local Chinese food from Fairwood or Vietnamese and Hong Kong fare from Pho 27, the sister restaurants are guaranteed to have something you’ll enjoy.
Located in Kaimuki Shopping Center on Waialae Avenue, owner Tiffany Ko and her team are busy preparing for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.
“Traditionally, everyone eats a lot of meat dishes for Chinese New Year,” says Ko. “So, guests can order our Jai to ‘clean up their insides’ before eating more meat dishes.”
Jai is offered at both Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27 Cafe at varying prices. The vegetarian dish consists of long rice, black mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, fungus, snow peas, lily flower, carrots, bean curd and tofu.
ON THE GRILL
Variety is the spice of life at Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27 Cafe — especially when ordering the restaurant’s unique Mixed Grill Steak ($15.95).
This abundant meal features grilled chicken, grilled pork chop, New York steak, hot dog wrapped in ham, french fries, broccoli and sauce for dipping. Guests can even choose from black pepper (pictured), tomato or onion sauces, and they may substitute the french fries for rice.
