Brunch is slowly becoming the most beloved meal for an increasing number of diners in Hawaii. What more could you ask for with endless options of breakfast and lunch items to choose from? Perfect for the new season, Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar will offer brunch starting next weekend.
“Summertime is here and everyone likes to have breakfast a little later,” says general manager Heela Mottus.
Locals and tourists alike will be able to take a morning, mid-morning or early-afternoon stroll through Royal Hawaiian Center and spoil themselves at Il Lupino with its new “Bubbles” for Brunch menu. For a set price of $16.95 (with some exceptions), patrons can dine while sipping on a glass of Sparkling Rose Gradin Brut, Zardetto Rose or Villa Sandi Prosecco ($5 for a second glass).
The menu features both old favorites and new dishes, such as Brioche French Toast, Loco Moco and Prosciutto and Rucola Pizza.
Additionally, Il Lupino will begin a summer beer garden with a late-night happy hour from 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. The eatery plans to feature Bikini Blonde Lager from Maui Brewing Co., Peroni Italian Beer, Heineken and Guinness.
BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS
When taking advantage of Il Lupino’s “Bubbles” for Brunch special ($16.95), don’t miss out on Filet Mignon Eggs Benedict ($5 filet upgrade) and Lobster and Peach Salad, executive chef James Donahue’s new creations.
The eggs Benedict highlights grilled Kamuela tomatoes; pan-seared filet mignon and two poached eggs, all smothered in hollandaise sauce and served with Yukon potatoes (or mixed greens). As for Lobster and Peach Salad, the MVP award goes to the caramelized peaches, which complement the buttered, poached and perfectly seared Maine lobster. The salad also is mixed with shaved red onions, goat cheese and Champagne vinaigrette.
