Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar welcomes the return of executive chef James Donahue to its kitchen, along with updated menus (to be released throughout this month) for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as happy hour.
“The breakfast menu is going to expand a little. We’ll have a few more options for eggs, and we’re going to be doing a few different Frittatas to order,” shares Donahue, who first joined Il Lupino in 2013 as executive chef for about a year-and-a-half.
Conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki at Royal Hawaiian Center, Il Lupino serves “regional-creative” Italian cuisine in a casual yet elegant setting with indoor and outdoor dining areas, a full bar and a salumeria deli counter offering hand-cut Italian meat and cheese.
BREAKFAST GO-TOS
While Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar is introducing updated menus this month, its most popular dishes will be sticking around. On the breakfast menu, customers may continue to enjoy Classic Eggs Benedict ($15.75), which consists of two English muffins topped with thick-cut bacon, avocado, Kamuela tomatoes and hollandaise sauce.
Another breakfast favorite that is here to stay is Smoked Salmon ($15.95). It features Scottish smoked salmon on French baguette with cream cheese, and is served with capers, shaved red onions, Kamuela tomatoes, arugula, extra virgin olive oil and salad.
