A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: Beef Bourguignon ($28)

Anyone can appreciate a smorgasbord of flavors, and at Bakery & Table, that’s exactly what you get.

Since the establishment serves as both a bakery and restaurant, you have the delicious task of choosing from a vast menu of sweet and savory options that rotate daily. While this is the first U.S. location of the eatery (four in Japan), it also is the first to have a bakery along with a full-service restaurant.

Bakery & Table recently opened in March on Piikoi Street and aims to offer a unique environment to all who enter through its doors.

“Eating good food is one thing,” says general manager Brent Yamate. “But if all of your senses are engaged, you are able to create not just an experience, but a memory.”

Part of the experience is in its setting. The bakery is downstairs, complete with a spacious, comfortable seating area with free Wi-Fi available. Upstairs serves as the restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating, including ample space, a bar and beautifully designed walls, along with a modern waterfall feature.

The eclectic menu ranges from Italian-fusion and contemporary American to Asian, with bakery-inspired dishes bringing everything together. One dish you have to try is Beef Bourguignon, a most savory temptation.

Customers can look forward to satisfying lunch and dinner entrees, as well as brunch hours that will debut later this month.
