If you’re in the mood for authentic Chinese food, head to The Mandalay where you’re guaranteed an elegant dining experience. Located downtown, this eatery is known for serving up traditional Cantonese and Hong Kong-style cuisine. It offers a wide variety of entrees and dim sum, which are served daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Step into The Mandalay and you’ll notice its vast dining room that can hold up to 330 people. With two stories and private rooms, the restaurant is perfect for family gatherings and parties of any size.
This week, The Mandalay shares some of its specials with Dining Out. Take Golden Shrimp, for example. Patrons can enjoy shrimp that has been battered with egg yolks and flour and then deep fried for just $18.95.
Or try Honey Garlic Pork Chops ($12.95), which presents pan-fried pork chops lathered in tangy sauce. “The Honey Garlic Pork Chops are an all-around favorite,” says server Wilfred Leung. “Kids especially like the tangy sauce on the pork chops.”
Leung also suggests Lamb Brisket Casserole ($18.95). “We chop up the lamb first, make it with scallions, parsley, mushroom, seasonings, and then it’s braised in a casserole,” he explains. “The flavor is really intense and it has a really rich taste.”
The Mandalay is great for any occasion. With its central location, it often serves as a workday lunch spot or meeting locale for professionals in the area. It even has an express section for diners on the go and a place for families to enjoy meals together.
Aside from indulging in one of these specials on your next visit, treat Mom to The Mandalay’s Mother’s Day Dim Sum Brunch or Dinner Buffet. With available seatings at various times, the buffets feature Hong Kong-style dim sum, entrees such as Prime Rib and an array of appetizers and desserts. Call now to reserve your table!
