According to Canton Seafood Restaurant manager He Gong, the restaurant’s food is so authentic that visitors from China often stop by for a meal. And when they do, they’ve got plenty to choose from: The menu is stocked with more than 150 items.
Now is a perfect time to visit the restaurant, as it’s offering a number of specials during February (see side-bar for more).
One of these great deals is Rice Noodle With Shredded Pork And Preserved Daikon In Soup ($6.99), featuring rice noodles, bean sprouts and daikon, all inside a house-made pork-based soup. Some of the other February Specials include Crispy Fried Chicken and Lobster.
A GREAT CATCH
All those Chinese New Year celebrations may be over now, but at Canton Seafood, the party still is going strong. In honor of the new year, the restaurant is offering deals throughout the rest of February, including Fried Flounder with Lemon Grass for $10.99 (regularly $15.99). The flounder is marinated in a lemon grass shoyu sauce with garlic, onion and bell pepper, and then lightly fried. The sauce — a Canton signature — is drizzled over the dish afterward for added flavor.
