Pagoda gets the party started

Nestled within the hustle and bustle of Honolulu is Pagoda Hotel, a classic retreat that has been serving Oahu’s kamaaina and tourists for 51 years. Adjacent to the hotel sits Pagoda Floating Restaurant & Catering, known for its superb local foods presented in a beautiful Japanese-inspired setting. The restaurant continually strives to please its customers with a mouth-watering menu, catering services and buffet options.

The most popular buffets for the catering side of the business are the International Lunch and Dinner Buffets, which are available to parties with a minimum of 50 people. The lunch buffet starts at $25 per person, and dinner buffet $30. The selections vary with choices such as salads; meat, poultry and seafood entrees; sides; and desserts.

Although still fairly new to Pagoda Floating Restaurant & Catering, executive chef Michael Arita takes pride in each dish that is carefully prepared for his guests. Today, Arita shows Dining Out three entree options from the International Dinner and Lunch Buffets: Teriyaki Beef; Shiitake Mushroom and Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast with Kabayaki sauce; and Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura served with Tentsuyu dipping sauce.

Pagoda’s catering services are perfect for your next celebration, as it proudly hosts holiday parties, graduations, birthdays, weddings and more. Additionally, the staff really loves to cater to Hawaii’s locals.

“I myself grew up here, so it’s amazing to see families come here traditionally and then see their families grow and continue to come,” says catering sales manager Darlene Leones.

Call or visit Pagoda’s web-site to inquire about its buffets and catering services. If you book an event now through April 30, lunch and dinner buffet specials start from $20.16 per person in celebration of the new year. This offer expires Jan. 31.
