Recognized as one of the state’s top Hawaii-Regional-Cuisine chefs, Chai Chaowasaree humbly takes pride in his work. Serving more than just food, Chef Chai meticulously creates art — fusing tastes, textures and colors to ensure that each bite is perfect.

Chai’s Waikiki Hawaiian Fusion opened just two months ago, and tourists and locals alike flock to the eatery each night, hungry for the chef’s delicious cuisine.

Chaowasaree focuses on including as many fresh ingredients on the menu as possible. Some examples are venison from Molokai, beef from Parker Ranch on the Big Island and herbs and spices from ‘Nalo Farms.

Since opening in Waikiki, Chaowasaree hopes customers will be able to experience everything Hawaii has to offer when it comes to the freshest ingredients — and you really will be able to taste the difference.

If you haven’t sampled Chaowasaree’s cooking yet, put the eatery on your to-do list. And be sure to mention Dining Out‘s front-page coupon to receive the 25-percent-off early bird special from 4 to 6 p.m.

A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING

Ideal for first-time guests or large parties, Chai’s Waikiki Hawaiian Fusion’s Tasting Menu ($65 per person) is sure to please. To begin, the menu offers a selection of appetizers: Fresh Ahi Tartare in Mini Waffle Cones with Avocado Mousse; Salmon Gravlax Roulade with Cream Cheese & Crab Meat on Cucumber Chips; Crispy Asian Taco with Smoked Duck Breast; and Roasted Beet Island and Puna Goat Cheese Bruschetta. All of this followed by a salad, entree and dessert!
