Dine Like A ʻPRINCE’ This Holiday Season

Give yourself the royal treatment this Thanksgiving by enjoying a mouthwatering feast at Prince Court, located on the third floor of Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki.

Prince Court provides a plentiful array of delicacies for brunch and dinner, and reservations are going quickly, according to director of food and beverage Ward Almeida.

“(Currently) I have 200 more reservations for this year’s Thanksgiving brunch than I did last year,” he says. “We’re known for our buffets; they’re very popular.”

The Thanksgiving Day Brunch Buffet ($65 adults, $32.50 children) is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and features a variety of breakfast items, a waffle station, omelet station, dim sum station, carving station and more. The Thanksgiving Day Dinner Buffet ($65 adults, $32.50 children; 5-9 p.m.) promises to be just as glorious, including seafood favorites that can be found at the Prince Court’s nightly dinner buffet.

“The buffet here at night is called a Seafood Buffet, so naturally, all of our seafood items are really popular,” Almeida says. “We have steamed crab legs, mussels, poke, calamari and more. Other than the turkey, we’ll have prime rib; we even have our own sushi stations.”

For those who want to enjoy Thanksgiving at home, Hawaii Prince Hotel has you covered with a Thanksgiving-To-Go package. The Traditional Meal ($189; $199 after Nov. 12) includes Hot Macadamia Nut Honey-Glazed Turkey; Cornbread, Sausage and Chestnut Stuffing; Garlic Mashed Potatoes; Giblet Gravy; Cranberry Orange Sauce; Purple Sweet Potatoes with Coconut Flakes; Baked Rolls; and Pumpkin Pie.

“People often ask how many the meal serves; we usually say four to six individuals because you’re getting a 12-14 pound turkey,” Almeida says.

Customers also can order additional sides for $12 each; the stuffing and gravy are the two more popular, according to Almeida. This year, the hotel also is offering a brand-new Signature Meal ($229; $239 after Nov. 12) that includes all the components of the Traditional Meal, but also comes with Corn Chowder, Caesar Salad and Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce.

“We added the bread pudding because everyone loves the bread pudding here,” Almeida says. “At least 30 percent of the total Thanksgiving meals sold so far have been the Signature Meals.”

You can order your Thanksgiving-To-Go meal by calling 952-4789 or online at HawaiiPrinceHotel.com/TTG. The turkey is hot upon pickup, but sides need to be reheated. Limited quantities are available, and Almeida says you can select your desired pickup time for Thanksgiving Day.

“You pick up your meal right in front of the hotel; we ask you if you want it in the trunk or the back of your car,” he states. “It’s convenient and you get a high quality of food.”
