Oahu’s Waipahu town has its own take on light meals and tasty drinks, and they can be found right in Kunia at Island Café.
The eatery stands out for its use of natural ingredients from Boar’s Head deli products and its freshly baked bread, which is made daily. Among its palate-pleasing offerings are scrumptious Ube Cheesecake ($4.99) and Chicken Pesto Flat-bread ($4.50) prepared with shredded chicken, mozzarella, house-made pesto and fresh tomato.
Adding entertainment to your dining experience, patrons may enjoy free Wi-Fi, and starting in November, local comedian Augie T. will perform monthly shows. Customers also can request to host parties at the venue.
Be sure to stop by soon, as Island Café will be closed from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 for a minor renovation. It will reopen Nov. 3 with new hours.
