But right along Auahi Street (or Hekili Street, if you’re on the Windward side) sits zpizza — a business that’s known for gourmet slices, as well as sandwiches, salads, flat breads and wings.
Fresh ingredients have been a zpizza staple since the franchise moved to its town location nearly seven years ago, as such an emphasis helps to ensure that each pizza is simply heavenly.

For example, take the veggie pizza, Provence ($13.95, small 10 inches). House-made dough is crafted into the perfect thin-crust foundation for organic tomato sauce (mixed with roasted garlic sauce), artichoke hearts, capers, cremini mushrooms, fresh basil and Roma tomatoes.
“That’s one of the key things to a great pizza is the crust,” says franchise owner Karen Llarenas, who owns the business with husband Cesar.
Brick oven baking ensures that each pie comes out with a crispy crust each and every time.
It’s evident that zpizza is all about offering up great-tasting dishes that cater to everyone, as there are gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan pizza and food options available.
A customer favorite is the California Salad ($9.25), which comes with avocado, cucumbers, Roma tomatoes and olives, atop a bed of mixed greens. Choose your own dressing to top it off.
The establishment also offers a build-your-own option that lets customers create their own pizza — any delicious way they like it.
