Romano’s Macaroni Grill in Ala Moana Center’s Hookipa Terrace knows a thing or two about Italian cuisine. We’re talkin’ authentic Italian eats — that hearty, rustic goodness — straight from mama’s kitchen. To achieve such immaculate fare, chefs simply rely on the freshest ingredients and tried-and-true recipes, which have withstood the test of time. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and diners are invited to experience the best of Italy through their appetites, Italians love to dine family style, and this entree is perfect for sharing because of its multiple components. “It’s very popular! It’s a great value for our guests,” says executive chef Nawai Kekoolani.

The chef says Mama’s Trio is the Italian “mixed plate.” Come ready to dive in and indulge, because the portions are impressive.

The homemade chicken cannelloni is stuffed with melt-in-your-mouth chicken, cheese, fresh pesto and pomodoro sauce, and topped with melted mozzarella.

Made for those who want to try a bit of everything in one dish, Mama’s Trio satisfies with chicken Parmesan on a bed of capellini pasta, lasagna bolognese and chicken cannelloni.

“Our signature marinara and fresh mozzarella bring these three dishes together to create a wonderful classic Italian spread,” explains Kekoolani.
