GRYLT is way more than just another eatery glorified for its steak plate. Here at this local hot spot, the combination of locally-sourced, organic and hormone-free ingredients turn simple favorites into mouth-watering meals. Even your vegan friends will be happy.
GRYLT features a make-it-yourself menu that provides any number of combinations. Chose a vegetable option, a starch and a protein to complete your meal.
One possible combination is Steak and Chicken Combo ($14.95). Angus beef is grilled and paired with hormone- and steroid-free chicken breast. Both are simply seasoned, because when you start with good ingredients, you dont need much else. The two proteins are paired with (as pictured) baby spinach, candied apples and sun-dried tomatoes, resulting in a meal that is as hearty as it is flavorful. If spinach isn’t your thing, you also can choose from garden veggies, organic ‘Nalo greens or grilled baby romaine lettuce.
Another GRYLT specialty is Ahi Sandwich ($10.30). Three-and-a-half ounces of fresh (not frozen), ahi is grilled and placed on a tasty roll with balsamic onions, Maui baby romaine, Kunia tomatoes and wasabi aioli. Then select from white/brown rice, smashed potatoes ($1 extra) and mashed cauliflower ($2 extra). Both the potatoes and cauliflower are made without butter or cream, making it a viable and delicious vegan option.
A good example of GRYLT’s variety of cuisine is Thai Salad with Shrimp ($13.95). The dish features organic ‘Nalo greens, sliced Sugarland Farms tomatoes, bean sprouts, Mandarin orange slices, locally-grown basil, mint and cilantro, and grilled shrimp seasoned with a proprietary marinade of lemon zest, fresh garlic, olive oil, Hawaiian sea salt and fresh ground pepper. The salad is splashed with a light Thai vinaigrette to complete the fresh and flavorful dish.
“It’s all about the wow factor,” says owner Alan Farinas.
He’s right. The combination of fresh ingredients and careful handling makes GRYLT a place worth your while.
