Romano’s Macaroni Grill

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at your favorite restaurant? Well, much credit goes to the many chefs, owners and managers who work diligently day in and day out to make sure Hawaii’s diners have a top-notch dining experience.

This week, Dining Out gets the inside scoops from Romano’s Macaroni Grill’s floor manager Eva Thiim, who gives us a little taste of Romano’s Macaroni Grill and shares just what fuels her culinary drive.

Who or what inspires you as a manager? I am inspired by our employees who work together as a team. Our team members inspire me to the best manager, leading our team as we provide our valued guests with great food, service and a positive dining experience. They exemplify the “Aloha Spirit” and have established our restaurant as one of Hawaii’s favorite dining venues.

What’s your most popular dish? Carmela’s Chicken Rigatoni is a house favorite. The creamy Marsala sauce is outstanding!

Is there a dish that you create that’s not on your menu, but available upon request? I would suggest adding shrimp to our Chicken Scaloppine. It takes that dish to the next level.

What is the biggest compliment you’ve ever received as a manager? I recently became a manager here at Romano’s Macaroni Grill, and the best compliment I have received is from my fellow employees expressing their support and gratitude for accepting the promotion within the company.

If you could serve food to a celebrity, who would it be and why? What dish would you serve? Let’s see … Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt or Chris Hemsworth. And I’m sure we all know why. For starters, I would serve these “boys” our Mac and Cheese Bites, followed by our Chicken Scaloppine and our famous Lemon Passion Cake for dessert. The quickest way to any man’s heart is good food — just ask my husband!
