As graduation season shifts into gear, and proud students and their families celebrate the monumental accomplishment, A Catered Experience is poised to take the stress and hassle out of planning the perfect celebration.
Along with the perennial food favorites and merriment delivered at graduation parties, these special events also are known to evoke moments of anxiety, as celebration hosts consider the time and labor involved in creating and coordinating such a grand spread. That’s where A Catered Experience steps up to the plate, having designed a wide range of menu options to meet the needs of any party and its guests.
Not only are the food selections prepared by the skilled staff at A Catered Experience, which brings more than 25 years of experience and exemplary customer service to the table, but the dishes also are available for delivery. Food can be dropped off to the customer, and for an additional charge, A Catered Experience is staffed to provide full-service options, including table rentals, buffet set-up and replenishment, and cleanup for an additional charge.
“Our clients are already busy setting up their party area and decorations, so we’re able to save them time by providing and delivering the food,” says Ron Hattori, general manager at A Catered Experience. “It’s a better option than slaving away in the kitchen.”
One may choose to include a Light Menu ($8.95 per person plus tax, 25 person minimum), which features a host of local favorites. The menu includes Meat Jun with meat jun sauce, Boneless Korean Chicken, Sauteed Fish with tartar or wasabi caper sauce, Steamed White Rice and Tossed Green Salad with choice of dressing.
For those in search of delicious Hawaiian food, A Catered Experience also offers its popular Hawaiian Menu ($11.50 per person plus tax, 25 person minimum). The bountiful assortment includes Kalua Pig, Laulau, Chicken Long Rice, Lomi Salmon, Macaroni Salad, Steamed White Rice and Haupia Squares for dessert.
Special occasions and events like graduations call for an equally exceptional assortment of cuisines, such as that included with Prime Rib Special Menu ($21.95 per person plus tax, 10 person minimum). The assortment features Whole Roasted Prime Rib accompanied by au jus and horse-radish, BBQ Teriyaki Chicken, Shrimp Tempura with tempura sauce, Assorted Sushi including Maki, Teppo Maki and Inari, Steamed White Rice, Tossed Salad with a choice of dressing, assorted Fresh Fruits and Potato Salad.
Customers also may elect to build a “Create Your Own” Graduation Menu ($10.95 per person plus tax, minimum 25 people). The customizable menu includes steamed white rice, as well as a choice of starch, salad, chicken dish, meat dish and a seafood/fish selection. To sweeten the deal, all deliveries also include disposable paper plates, napkins and utensils.
A Catered Experience also is pleased to offer “Platters To Go,” which can be added to the aforementioned packages or simply ordered as stand-alone items to perk up one’s party. Customers may indulge in a Baked Ham with Pineapple Raisin Sauce Platter ($53 plus tax, serves approximately 25 guests) or Yakisoba ($28 plus tax, serves approximately 25 guests). An Assorted Sushi Platter ($36 plus tax) is available as well, and includes 100 pieces of assorted Maki, Teppo and Inari.
The special menus are available through Aug. 31, and customers are asked to please place orders at least two weeks in advance. Delivery is free for customers in the Mililani, Pearl City and Waipahu areas, and a small fee may apply depending on the location of the event being serviced.
Menus may be customized to fit customer needs, and those interested are encouraged to call the helpful staff for more information. Prices do not apply to A Catered Experience’s banquet halls, and orders are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
A Catered Experience accepts checks and credit card payments. Call its office at 677-7744 to make arrangements. Cash payments must be made in person at the Waipio office (see address below).
