Owner Yinnie Chiu has built a loyal customer base, and the restaurant’s authentic Chinese cuisine is best described by the enthusiastic restaurateur as “the bomb!” Chiu’s description is fitting as the cuisine’s explosion of flavor continues to gain popularity by the forkful.

The Crispy Chicken Wings ($8.25) have become a popular starter thanks to the item’s preparation in which the juicy wings are deep-fried in fresh oil on a made-to-order basis. The clean oil gives the chicken skin a nice crispiness while locking in the flavor — one can enjoy the wings bare — without any sauce — as the chicken’s flavor needs no additives.

Chiu also takes pride in the Crispy Gau Gee ($7.50), calling the deep-fried morsels “amazing, but without the guilt” as customers can enjoy the pupus with the traditional pork or vegetarian-friendly tofu filling. Like the chicken wings, and Crispy Spring Rolls ($7.50), the selections are fried in fresh oil to lock in flavor without any distracting aftertastes.

Mini Garden is on a roll with its Chef Special Crispy Shrimp Balls ($8.95 for four) as diners can dig in to find hearty portions of juicy shrimp surrounded by a crispy, crunchy shell that blends two enticing textures and flavors.

Stop by Mini Garden this summer and take advantage of a pair of enticing offers. Customers receive 20 percent off all take-out orders (excluding vegetarian dishes, which are 10 percent off), and 10 percent off dine-in orders (excluding shabu shabu and party menu offerings).
