An inviting dining experience awaits guests at The Willows, so it’s no surprise why both tourists and locals frequent the restaurant to sample some of the best in local cuisine.
The dinner buffet is offered daily for $34.95 and the lunch buffet is open Monday through Friday for $19.95. Executive chef Jay Matsukawa prepares 40 to 50 items daily, including local favorites such as kalua pig, poi, island curry and freshly carved Garlic & Hawaiian Salt Crusted Prime Rib, offered for both lunch and dinner.
Dining Out paid a visit to the restaurant and met up with a few hungry individuals, Harriet Zakahi, Lila Chrystal and George Zakahi at the buffet line.
Harriet Zakahi: “For my first round, I went for pupus and salads, so I have some poke, lomi salmon, sushi, watercress salad and bean sprout salad. I haven’t been here for maybe two years or so, but we have friends who came recently and said they really enjoyed the buffet, so we decided to check it out.”
Lila Chrystal: “The food is very good here, and there’s a nice variety. I got the curry, roast beef, chicken long rice and poke, and that was only the beginning!”
George Zakahi: “I like the clam chowder, shrimp curry, poke, poi and lau lau.”
