Rise and Shine at IHOP

It’s known as the International House of Pancakes, but IHOP was born and raised on USA soil. Popular items such as the Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘n Fruity or the Bacon ‘n Beef Cheeseburger, coupled with those commercials featuring actor Cliff Bemis, have helped IHOP become a household name since the 1970s.

Yet, IHOP has definitely grown well beyond just pancakes, as it also serves a variety of lunch and dinner options. Whether you’re craving eggs and bacon or steak and shrimp, IHOP is the all-American family restaurant that can really hit the spot quickly.

Breakfast dishes, however, remain hugely popular at IHOP, particularly the restaurant’s Breakfast Sampler (prices vary by location). The meal comes with two eggs and hash browns, accompanied by two pieces of ham, two strips of bacon and two pork sausage links. And to make the dish complete, IHOP adds a side of two warm, fluffy buttermilk pancakes.

“This is actually IHOP’s trademark dish, and it’s also a local favorite,” says IHOP area director Luther Mateo. “Everybody knows this dish all over the world, so when anyone goes into IHOP, they look for this.”
