It’s difficult to beat the majestic vistas of Santorini, Greece, yet guests of Greek Marina in Hawaii Kai enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the Koko Marina water-front just the same.
Open for lunch and dinner, Greek Marina offers authentic and innovative Greek cuisine in a casual atmosphere. Owner and chef Tarek Guirguis takes pride in many of the restaurant’s specialties, including Gyros, Souvlaki, Classic Greek Salad and much more.
Dining Out recently stopped by the restaurant to see exactly what diners were after. There, one such loyal customer, Corrie Agon, agreed to share her thoughts on Mediterranean-style cuisine.
Corrie Agon: “I was craving Greek food, and this is my favorite Greek restaurant and one of the best on the island. I ordered the Spanakopita and the Tzatziki — both appetizers — for lunch and it was very light and refreshing. The Tzatziki is my favorite. It’s a yogurt dip seasoned with grated cucumber and mild garlic, and it goes really well with the pita bread. The Spanakopita has spinach and feta cheese all baked in filo dough.
“The service here is fast and efficient, and the location is very convenient. You also can’t beat the reasonable prices.”
