Looking for dinner and entertainment? It’s all found at Kobe Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar, a family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of Waikiki. There, top-choice USDA sir-loin and tenderloin, as well as succulent chicken and seafood, are all masterfully prepared at customer tables by skilled teppenyaki chefs.
Dining Out recently stopped in at the teppenyaki restaurant and asked Wendy Okamura, who was celebrating her 57th birthday with college friends and golf buddies Helene Sueoka, Sandy Kagawa, Ele Kawamura and Lani Moore, what she enjoyed most about Kobe.
Wendy Okamura: “We’ve been coming to Kobe to celebrate our birthdays for 25 to 30 years. It’s great! (Kobe) started this new pupu menu and it’s excellent, it’s very good. We’re having the poke and the spicy edamame and the regular soy beans.
“For dinner, we’re sharing our favorite, Filet Mignon ($34.95). It melts in your mouth, so we’re having a couple orders of that and we’re also sharing the Teppan Shrimp ($29.95) and Teppan Scallops ($29.95).
“We love Kobe Steakhouse, we love the food, we love the staffing, we love everything about it. The ambiance is also very nice and the teppanyaki chefs are hilarious. It’s always fun.”
