Nick and Bridget Trautz tied the knot in beautiful Hawaii nei this past week, and Dining Out was fortunate enough to catch up with them during a beautiful morning at Shore Bird Restaurant & Beach Bar at the Outrigger Reef Hotel. Both were feasting on the expansive breakfast buffet ($13.95) while gazing out toward the clear blue waters of Waikiki. The couple dined at Shore Bird the previous evening, and it was so good they decided to come back for breakfast!

Shore Bird is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night, and patrons can expect to find nothing but the best on the menu. According to kitchen manager Brenda Roberts, Island Fish & Chips ($14.95, four pieces; $12.95, three pieces) is a best-seller. It’s made with mahi mahi and hand-breaded in the kitchen, so you know it’s fresh.

Validated parking is available for six hours for $6, and customers can make reservations on the establishment’s website or at
