or ring in the new year with satiated bellies and head on over to The Mandalay, now located on Waialae Avenue. For nearly 30 years, owners Larry and Linda Chan have been committed to serving Hawaii with quality Chinese cuisine and continue to do so with the several platters The Mandalay has to offer this holiday season.
Families can enjoy the Holiday Special Platter ($98), which serves four to six people and includes gon lo mein, char siu, honey walnut shrimp, green beans, and four pieces each of the har gow, siu mai, potstickers, shrimp chive dumplings, half-moons, spring rolls, gau gee and jin dui.
“We wanted to incorpo- rate a bunch of long-standing customer favorites all onto one tray so that customers can enjoy a bit of everything at a budget friendly price,” says manager Christina Chan.
The Mandalay also has a Christmas and New Year’s Day Meal ($128) and has preorders for pickup avail- able in Kaimuki, Aiea and Kaneohe. It includes Chi- nese pickled cucumbers,

The Dim Sum Platter ($55), meanwhile, is always a good choice for parties and regularly offered at the
local restaurant.
Platters feed four to six
people and advance notice is recommended to ensure the restaurant will have ad- equate supply. Platters will also be offered Christmas andNewYear’sDay,andwill require order and prepay- ment in advance.
