I n what has become an annual holiday tradition, Zippy’s is helping local
diners and their ohana pre- pare for the bustling season with a host of meals, sweet treats and gift options.
The iconic restaurant con- tinues to serve up local-style comfort food, and those same flavors and familiar tastes ring true through an array of popular meal packages.
Ohana can look forward to Zippy’s Christmas Luau, which is available to pre-or- der now for just $112.95 via zippys.com; the online price offers a savings of $15 compared to the original $127.95, which is charged for phone and in-person orders. The incredible Ha-

waiian-themed feast is re- frigerated, ready to reheat, serves six to eight guests and includes: 2 pounds of kalua pig, eight pieces of lau lau, 3-and-a-half pounds of chicken long rice, 2 pounds of lomi salmon and eight pieces of haupia. Guests may also add a pound of Poi ($8.25); Maki Sushi Roll ($5.95 online/$6.25 by phone/in person, uncut, limit 10 rolls); and Holiday Sushi Platter ($45.95) with 40 pieces of maki, 16 piec- es of cucumber teppo, 16 pieces of takuan teppo and 10 pieces of inari sushi va- rieties — three days’ notice is required for this platter.
Zippy’s is also offering its popular Whole Turkey Pack- age for $141.95 if ordered at

the restaurant or by phone, and just $121.95 online. The Whole Turkey Pack- age serves eight to 10 and includes a 10-to-12-pound (cooked weight) refrigerat- ed whole roast turkey that is fully cooked and easy to reheat; 4 pounds of poul- try gravy; 4 pounds of real mashed potatoes; 3 pounds of stuffing; 1 pound of cran- berry/pineapple relish; and a dozen King’s Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls. The Half Turkey Package ($82.95 at the restaurant or by phone; $67.95 online) and Whole Turkey Only ($79.95 at the restaurant; or $71.95 online) are also available.
These Christmas packag- es can be pre-ordered on- line at zippys.com through Dec. 15 at 5 p.m.; by phone by Dec. 16, while supplies last, from Monday-Friday, 8 a.m-5 p.m. at 808-973-0880;
or in person at the Kaneohe, Nimitz or Waiau locations from Dec. 16, while supplies last. The Christmas Luau and Turkey packages can be picked up Dec. 24 and 25 at Zippy’s Kaneohe, Nim- itz and Waiau. Mastercard, Visa, Discover and Ameri- can Express are accepted, no refunds, and the pack- ages may not be combined with any other promotional offers or discount cards.
Zippy’s Pupu Platters and Fried Chicken make any gathering extra special. Options include the Local Favorites Platter ($38.75) – a perfect combination of teriyaki beef, hoki, chicken katsu, hot dog and Portu- guese sausage — as well as the Chicken Katsu Plat- ter ($35.95), Korean Fried Chicken Platter ($41.50) and Fried Noodles Plat- ter ($32.50). Zippy’s Fried
Chicken is available in buckets of 21 pieces ($50.35), 15 pieces ($39.10) and nine pieces ($25.30). The platters and chicken selections can be ordered at all Zippy’s locations with at least one hour’s notice prior to pickup.
Throughout December, Napoleon’s Bakery is offer- ing an array of holiday-in- spired treats at its bakery locations within Zippy’s.
Gingerbread Man Cookie ($3.25 each) is a fun sea- sonal treat, as is the Gin- gerbread Man Cookie Kit ($10.95 including cookies to decorate with toppings and icing). Guests can also look forward to Blueberry Coffee Cake Square ($2.50 each) and Strawberry Cream Cheese Square ($3.75 each).
