Our restaurant is based off of a Ramen restaurant our owner, Roy Kawakami, ate at while he visited Sapporo in Hokkaido, Japan. He enjoyed their food so much that on April 15, 1995, he opened Ramen Nakamura and recreated each dish staying faithful to the original flavors.

For 26 years, we have perfected our recipes and created
many memories. We are the original creators of the very popular Oxtail Ramen in Hawai‘i! We simmer Oxtail bones for 3-4 hours to get the perfect savory aroma and flavors. Our broth is very flavorful and our oxtail meat is tender, which will fall off the bone and melt in your mouth.

Our Oxtail Ramen is a Shio (salt) base, but for those who enjoy spicy food, we have a Spicy Oxtail Ramen too. The Oxtail Ramen is garnished with bean sprouts, mushrooms, shredded carrots, celery, green onion, menma, shredded ginger, and fried garlic. Paired with a ginger soy sauce to dip your Oxtail meat in for additional flavor.
