Gyu-kotsu is a signature soup that was created in the Tottori Prefecture of Japan and has been popular for more than 60 years. Gyu-kotsu Ramen specializes in the simmering process of beef bones with flavors that consist of umami, sweetness and an unique savory aroma. In 1949, Kamitoku was founded in the Tottori Prefecture and keeps to the original, nostalgic taste of Gyu-kotsu through the generations.

Newest Ramen Restaurant in Town, Kaka‘ako/Ward Center
Kamitoku is the one and only Ramen Restaurant in Hawai’i that offers a Gyu-kotsu broth; we simmer beef bones for hours until we get the perfect aroma and umami flavors. In addition, there’s a small amount of black pepper to maximize the taste of the beef. We highly recommend when you’re finshed eating your Ramen noodles and have remaining soup left, request for a side of rice and make a ‘risotto’ by mixing your rice and soup together. Besides Ramen, we have a wide assortment of appetizers and small plate options, as well as a kid’s menu. The interior design was created by owner’s wife, Marina Kamitoku.

Our most popular Ramen that gives a beefy, savory taste that comes with a garlic kick. The Beefy Wild is a more emulsified and rich version of the Japanese favorite, Beefy Lite.
